This Website is Furniture Heavy...

This website here is quite furniture heavy with the store section and all the notes on the furniture I make. I’m not sure why but I’ve had a lot of enquiries for some renovation/extension type projects over the last two months. I could say it’s that I’m a marketing genius but I think it’s just that parts of this website pop up when people local to us search stuff like “home extension Argyll”

I’ve been out to see most of the enquiries I’ve had and I’ve been asked “do you do that sort of work” meaning work such as house renovations and the likes. Looking at the website and not knowing me I can understand.

You won’t find any home renovation/extension type work posted on this site any later than about 2016/2017. Mainly for the reason that I don’t feel comfortable putting other peoples house on my website. I don’t think people like it and I’d rather not get into with a client who takes umbrage with it. It can be a big deal for people and rightly so I suppose. I wouldn’t like my house posted all over someone else’s website. The furniture’s easy to post pictures of because it’s all from the workshop or pictures of fitted furniture can be done and you don’t see anything from the actual house.

I’ve got a lot of pictures of every stage of the projects I’ve done. If you’re getting in touch to discuss your project I’m happy to look out pictures/references from similar type projects but you’d need to do a deep dive to find anything house extension related on here.

I think it might be because we live out in the wilderness and you need to do a lot of different stuff to survive or it’s that I’ve always done most things in construction and that’s how I grew up. I

t’s only recently I’ve noticed everything becoming “specialised” I don’t really live in that world. I think a joiner should understand every aspect of the house building world, obviously that’s just my opinion, through experience it makes the job/craft better to do day in day out. It’s pretty mental but maybe it’s just that I’m old now and this is what old people talk like.

Anyway. If you find this and you’re looking for anything from a house renovation/extension through to a piece of furniture you can get in touch and I’m sure we’ll be able to help you out. We’re always busy but we’ve always got space. We’ll work most places around Argyll, I like to keep it to an hours drive from the house, again, I’m old now and don’t like to drive much further than that.

Take it easy. Sorry for so many words. My family has heard everything I’ve got to say and don’t listen to me anymore.
