Round Table with Brass

I had an idea for a table and managed to get a few hours here and there to set about making it.

The top was done with some Pitch Pine. Pine doesn't really do anything for me but this turned out pretty nice. The hardwood legs were finished with an ebony stain.

I used some brass to band around the outside edge of the top. I had the brass left over from a lot of tables we made for a restaurant in Glasgow. The aged brass seems to work well, maybe a bit too rustic for my tastes but I don't hate it.

The top has an oil finish. I'm not keen on the pine and think I should have maybe finished with a clear wax.  This table was made really to just quench my curiosity after I had the idea. Curiosity quenched. These can be made in various sizes/colours to suit either a restaurant fit out, a bar - maybe one of those trendy bars where all the bar tenders dress as lumberjack furniture makers with a passion for being creative. It'd also suit your house.

As always, feel free to share with whomever you think will like and if you're looking for any furniture related things to be made just get in touch and we'll see what we can do.

Cheers :)
