Finish Joinery, Wainscotting Wall panelling

I’ve posted this stuff before over a few posts, it’s some wall panelling or wainscotting and some finish joinery/carpentry. I post it so that folk searching google will find it and ask us to do it. We enjoy doing it and we think more houses should have it. It’s nice and makes a big difference for not a crazy amount of money.

This one was the door surrounds and some wainscotting. We made the moulding along the top of the door header, I should have more pictures of this, I’ll use them the next time I post this type of work. I like to use this moulding for wall panelling and I use it for some cabinet work too, looks good in older victorian houses too.

This is all Moisture resistant MDF and hardwood mouldings. The room is approx 6m x 5m and I done it over a weekend, myself, wasn’t too bad. I didn’t do the painting.

This was a nice little porch area. We done the oak herringbone flooring and the panelling up to window sill height. Great views.

If there’s a big area you’re thinking on doing I’m happy to do a wee computer drawing to give you an idea of the layout and what it should look like once completed. Sometimes it’s nice to see what it’ll look like.

The one above was done years ago, so long ago it feels like another life. It was fun and a lot of work. A lot of custom mouldings and columns were made for this hallway. Solid oak columns, solid oak crown moulding, solid oak panel moulding and oak veneer board for the panels. A lot of work but good fun.

(Obviously I’ll need to add in some place names so google finds it, it’s my marketing plan to suit my budget of zero)

We’ve fitted this all over Glasgow, the West End and even one over in Dennistoun because it’s getting trendy now, I’ve always liked it there but the hipsters have found it now so they’ll move in and put up the prices so the real people will move. We travelled to Edinburgh for two wainscotting jobs as well as some finish carpentry works in some new builds. And done a coffered ceiling in small castle in Argyll. We get about.

If you’re looking for some wainscotting (wall panelling) in Glasgow, Edinburgh or anywhere in Scotland give us a shout. London too, we’d need to look out our passports but we travel all over doing it. I’m not sure I like to use the word “wainscotting” but that’s what the magazines call it so I suppose that’s what people will search for when looking for someone to do it for them. I’m telling you, I’m a mastermind at this internet marketing stuff.

It’s nearly Christmas, man. It was August just a week ago :)
