Staircase Panelling before Christmas

We managed to fit in some staircase panelling/wainscotting on Saturday in time for Christmas. It rained the full day, not just a bit of rain but torrential rain. Had to pop up the gazebo to try and keep the tools dry.

I only got this picture from Lewis but I’ll get more when it gets painted. We’re not doing the painting.

We used MDF and pine mouldings since it’s getting painted. Worked out pretty well and should look great once it’s painted and the new carpet goes in.

This was an up around and then up again. We managed to do it in the one day, I pre-cut all the rails and stiles and ran the cap piece the day before so that saved some time when fitting. We were there to about 7:30 but I thought we’d work to six and then see how long we had left to go. Got to 6 and we only had an hour or so to go so just carried on to save going back the next day. Anyway, it’s done.

I noticed on google that when you type up Joiner Argyll that I don’t appear. I pop up with other words that I think people will search for like Wall Panelling Argyll and wall panelling Glasgow but maybe folk search for joiners too. This is the evolution of my marketing happening as I type this. It’s cutting edge stuff.

Over and out.
