Walnut and Danish Cord Bench

Had this idea for a while and I’ve wanted to use danish cord for a few years. Got around to it eventually and finished this bench the other day.

I’m not into overly complicated things or stuff that’s trendy or a fad. I just like stuff that looks nice, is useful and ages well. Maybe I’m just boring but I don’t think you need anything more than simple stuff.

Started the weaving on Sunday and ended up working til after midnight to finish it. I’m only next door so the no commute thing works for the ‘working late’ times. The walnut is finished with an oil leaving it matt. It should age pretty nicely.

This is a piece that’s been added to the store. They’re all handmade here in Lochgoilhead and ready to deliver in 2-4 weeks (as of June 2020. Lead times might go up during busier times)
