Craftsman in the Scottish wilderness

I think people have the idea of the craftsman in the wilderness making his stuff and that it seems like a nice way of life, maybe connected to nature more than being in the rat race and all that other shit.

It’s probably one of the best ways to live if you’ve already had a successful trading career or you’re a retired captain of industry with loadsa’ dough in the bank. But if you’re a normal person with ‘normal’ levels of dough, then it can be quite frustrating at times.

This boiler’s from 1978. There was some water in the oil tank, I’ve stripped it down and repaired parts a lot of times, loads of times. It’s a bonus that it’s so old that a competent person can still manage to figure it out and repair it. I think everything should be like that but I’m an old man now and can complain about these things and no one listens. I should have bought a new boiler by now. What am I doing with my life, man.

Anyway. I’m doing a scheme where I trade furniture or other wood stuff for boilers. Get in touch to discuss.
