A Home Office...Coming Soon

Here’s a render of a home office that’s early in the planning stage. The render isn’t 100% accurate but it was done from a sketch to give the clients an idea of what they where looking for.

For this one we’ll be doing everything from the planning through to completion. All the services, building the office and then the landscaping. (furniture too) Should be quite a nice project.

The office will be built off site, be nice to build the full thing on a trailer and crane it onto the foundation but we’ll see what we come up with, might be too big, heavy, beefy!

It’ll be a 150mm (6”) timber frame with larch cladding on the outside and a lot of insulation.

I also think it’s pretty mental that you can get these renders done nowadays. Mental as in “back in my day” this was really advanced stuff that only fancy people had. Now joiners can have a render done of what they’re building. Amazing! Renders will be used on most projects now. It’s cool.

These are pretty popular now, they’ve probably been popular for a while and I’m late to the party. I might make one at the house and move Gemma into it. She can take they dogs as well.

This isn’t furniture stuff obvs… But I get asked to do all sorts of renovation work and build stuff like this home office quite a lot. I like a workshop with the fire on but I also like to work with actual people and get out the village, this village cracks everyone eventually, you need to get out. So I’ll do renovation work and stuff I think is cool, like this office. It pays the bills.

If you’ve found this through searching and are looking for something similar, best thing to do is to email Here and we’ll see what we can do.

This is off topic, but I saw this van/pickup thingy the other night and it’s cool. A wee roof rack set up on that and you’ll carry full sheets on it. One can dream…

If no one takes any umbridge I’ll just write a bit about Garden Rooms Argyll handmade, people like the word bespoke even though its really weird. Can be built in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Can be a home office or an AirBNB too. ***Just for google to recognise the keywords. I apologise for being so flagrant with my marketing strategies***
