Arched Top Glazed Screen

We got this screen and doors fitted last week down in Largs. It was for the Kelburn Castle & Country Park after someone drove through the old one. Not with a car but one of those wee quad type things, supposedly, I didn’t witness it I just heard the story.

I don’t think you can see the panelling that good but it was a beaded tongue & groove that I ran to match the one that was there before. It was done with pine and single glazed as per the instructions and we’re pretty pleased how it turned out.

This was the first job where I got to use the new spindle moulder, anyone who doesn’t do this for a living will wonder what a spindle moulder is, it’s a machine that cuts yer mouldings n that sorta stuff, nothing exciting.

Nice old building and all went smoothly. I saw a few other timber glazed screens similar to this that were in a bit of a bad shape in the other buildings, maybe we’ll get to make them at sometime too :)

I try to add in words/places so that when someone searches they can find what I do easily, is that weird? It’s been my marketing strategy forever man. But anyway, this was handmade timber windows and doors made in a joinery workshop in Lochgoilhead, Argyll and fitted in Largs, Ayrshire. If you need any bespoke wooden windows or doors then you can get in touch to see if we can help. And also feel free to share with your friends. ( I apologise for all the keywords but it’s better than paying for ads and all that nonsense)

Take it easy :)
