At times I do some of that stuff you might call construction. Not the heaviest of stuff but knocking down walls and stuff and doing roofs etc. I spent my twenties doing this sort of work and its pretty good fun. so I go and help out one of my friends whenever he needs a hand. We’ve worked on these types of projects over the past few years together.

Anyway, he’s got a new digger so if you’re in the Argyll area and looking for a 3 ton digger with driver for driveway work or foundations for your extension or house build you can give him a shout. I don’t think driving a digger is for me, I just do the wood stuff, moving both hands at the same time and pushing buttons, pulling triggers is tricky.

I think the attachment in the top picture is called a selector grab, I like to learn the lingo so that when all the guys are standing around drinking their tea and coffee I can join in as if I know what I’m talking about. I’ll say stuff like “and I had the grab on clearing this site and the dumper driver was rushing me to get him loaded, what are they dumper driver like eh” Instant “man” points with the lads.

Sometimes I think I’ve made my website look like I was always a guy who made furniture type stuff, and I like doing that the majority of the time but now and again it’s nice to get out the workshop.

Doing things like the roof in this picture can be good when the sky’s blue as it was here. Not so much in the rain.

But anyway, just so people know that for all that construction stuff you can give us a shout. If it suits and we think we could do it then we’ll do it.
