A quick one because I’ve been lacking on my website updates to keep relevant with google.

We’re settling into the new place, it’s taking time but we’re doing jobs while getting time to do this too. This walnut wall might look over the top, sometimes I think spending over a grand on a mobile phone is a bit more over the top but that seems to just be normal now because we’re all fuckin’ idiots who buy into all that type of stuff. This is so I’m able to dress and light the place for all my pictures of the stuff I make, so it saves a trip to a studio, know what I mean…

There’s an office going above and an area for storage when finances permit.

Caleb’s the one who helped me clear the place out and get it back together and my other son who’s older done most of the walnut work on the wall, he’s a third year apprentice. I think the young team get a bad rap but I’m telling you they’re sound. Let them do their thing, they know the world better than us, we’re old and passed it.

This is a piece of black ash, I’m going to do a desk with it. It’ll be black ash and some brass. If anyone is interested I’ll do you a good deal, you’ll have limited input but it’ll be cheaper than usual. and the same with a bed I’d like to do similar to the one below, limited input but it’ll be cheaper. If you’re into it and you like my other stuff then it’ll be right up your street, we should get along just fine.

The lead time just now for doors/smaller furniture is around November time. Meaning if you want to go ahead with anything it’ll be November before you get it. If it’s a kitchen or the likes you’re looking for you’ll be well into 2025 before you’d have it fitted.

The home extension/renovation work we do is still going on, we’re sticking to smaller projects so we can keep a small group of guys, it makes everything better. Happy to cost them up but we’re into 2025 before we could take on any new work. You won’t see any pictures of peoples houses on here because, like I’ve said before, it freaks me out posting other peoples houses on the internet nowadays. But I’ve got a load of pictures and references if you want to see any of that.

Before I go here’s a set of storm doors for a place in Glasgow we’re doing. I didn’t set out to make doors but I keep getting asked to do them. These still need sanded and it’s jammed closed so the gap around them is inconsistent but you get the idea.

Over and out and please try and chill out a bit, I think there’s a lot of people losing their minds over nonsense. If you stop watching the telly and don’t look at social media you’ll find out that all the doom and gloom isn’t real. Scotlands actually a very nice place to live and we’re lucky to be here.

(I heard that people that there’s a lot of people in Newton Mearns looking for wardrobes. It sounds weird but two different guys told me they had been asked when doing other work because no one makes wardrobes there. So I’ll Add handmade bespoke wardrobes Newton Mearns in here and my marketing strategy of doing this for the google thing to find me should work)
