Black and White doors in Glasgow
/Some year, man! Pretty mental but we made it to the end. A year of doors, we had other jobs to do as well but the doors were a big part of the year. We weβre fitting out the new workshops as well, it was actually a really mental year. I remember a Friday to Monday in Amsterdam and a day off here and there but I was working the rest of the time. I donβt mind it but you need to be strict with the breaks if work is the constant. To get the most out of yourself you need to have an hour minimum for lunch. Early starts, long lunch, shorter breaks as the day goes into the night. By the end of one of these weeks and thereβs still stuff to be done you need to go for the coca cola and whatever substance youβre into to get it done. Healthy eating is the ideal but thereβs nothing like a bag of jelly snakes nβ cans a coke at midnight.
Hereβs a set of doors we just finished up, last doors of the year.
Iβve seen the black and white style of door when driving around Glasgow, so it was nice to do a set. I wasnβt sure if it was only in the conservation areas but I had googled to find out why the black and white, not just in the conservation areasβ¦
These doors were done in the West End of Glasgow. The ironmongery is polished brass from Jim Lawrence.
Weβve got a website set up for the doors now and thereβs an instagram too. Search βStorm Doors Glasgowβ and youβll get an idea of what weβre doing.
Weβve always got a bit of a lead time, cannyβ get the staff, but if youβve found this looking for doors or other joinery work you can get in touch through the contact page and weβll see what we can do.
Take it ease and have a good Christmas. Itβs a knife fight out there!!
