Black Danish Cord
/Just finished up this one, I used a stain from Rubio Monocoat for the legs - “Super White” I think it was called.
I had took these photos and posted it on my instagram stories (@neilmckinlay) Must’ve been up ten minutes and someone had bought it. I thought to myself this is how Kanye West must feel when he drops a new pair of Yeezy’s. I got the DM just before lunch, I wondered if Kanye likes a cheese toasty too after a succesful “drop”
I had mentioned that this was a special edition, it was just a mistake though, I should’ve went up when I went down on the cord, you can see it in the photo above. I didn’t notice it until I was straightening everything up once I’d finished it. I love stuff like that on furniture, a wee. mistake or a small mark from the plane, nothing offensive, just bits that are interesting. Pristine stuff is boring and suited to the beige people.
Don’t mind it. Wasn’t sure how it’d look when finished but not bad. I like it. Gemma doesn’t like it. This is the standard size I do in the bench, 100cm 45cm x 45cm but it’s no big deal to make them any size. I’m sure if you look through this site or my instagram you’ll find a few examples of different sizes.
This one is oak with black danish cord and a ‘rubio monocoat super white’ finish on the legs. Free delivery around the Glasgow area and within an hour of the mean, unforgiving streets of Lochgoilhead. Any enquiries are best to be emailed and if you know someone who you think might like this you could send them it. Thanks.
