Handmade Kitchens

This is just a quick one. We do a couple of kitchens a year, big or small, whatever, but we could do more, it’s just space that’s been the problem. We’re hoping to have a new bigger space where we can have the metal working and wood working in the same building (separate sections obvs), might be good fun. We’re thinking in kicking off the new year in a new place but with the speed things are going who knows, I’m 40 in a month or so! Jesus christ, man! I think I had my second last haircut the other day as well. It’s not nice. I don’t enjoy getting older.

BillyJoel in front of a face frame kitchen with oak worktops and brass handles.

He’s a great boy.

I think I’ve said it before but if you’ve been in the Gleneagles Hotel, this is the same marble, from the same stone. Same stone guy I use and he had some leftover. Arabescato marble. Didn’t get a discount but whatever, I like it. I like real stuff.

This is my own kitchen, you’ll notice the different floors, this place has taken me years to get finished. I fitted the old oak floor when we moved in. The oak floor on the kitchen side was fitted when I made the kitchen 2021/22 or something like that. I’ll eventually sand the old one and match the two.

Some box joints on the wee drawers on the drawers in the glazed unit. The glass came from an old house in the village. I fitted new windows on the place and the ones that cam out were going to the bin. You need to keep that old glass, the stuff thats not perfectly flat, it’s not the clearest to look through. Thats the good stuff. I’d guess they stopped making it early 50’s but I’m probably wrong.

This one was a colourful one and fluted glass is nice anywhere. This is a beaded face frame with a butt hinge.

Nothing else to say, look through the site and you’ll find examples of stuff. If you’re looking for a kitchen just send me over an email or give me a call. And I need to add in Argyll and Glasgow and handmade bespoke kitchen for the google thing to find me. I know ;)
