Oak panelled room
/I had posted a few pictures of the oak panelling we were making in the workshop a few weeks ago. We’re finished now and it turned out pretty nice. We’re going to arrange a time where we can get some finished pictures/videos once the rooms all back together, someone needs to sell this stuff, man!
The bit of taxidermy is magnificent. And the white socket you see was temporary, they’re changed to some antique brass jobs. The full room went to plan and we didn’t have much hassle, which is always nice.
We were finishing up a few things and the furniture was starting to get laid out so we got a few pictures, feels like a nice vibe. And as I’ve mentioned before, it’s all about the vibe/feeling a room gives you. You can’t just spend a lot of money and that gives you the feeling, you need the experience and I think having an actual interest in houses and the way we live in houses helps too. This could all be woo woo nonsense that I’m talking but I think it’s a thing!
This was finished in an oil/stain called Rubio Monocoat, the colour is Antique Bronze. I don’t mind Rubio but it’s so expensive, I put it down to the wankers on social media who promote their uninspiring shit and use Rubio, they get views, more people buy it and we all need to pay the cost of supply and demand. It is what it is. I tag them on social media in the hopes of some freebies…
One more of the deer!
If you’re looking for something like this just give us a shout and we can go from there, you’ll need a lot of dough but it’s way cooler doing this to your house than buying a G wagon and going to Turkey for a hair transplant.
This house is on Airbnb, it’s in Carrick, just next to Lochgoilhead, I’m pretty sure it’s always booked out but you can try if you’re heading that way for a break.
I need to write that we’ll do these oak panelling/panelled rooms all over Scotland, Loch Lomond, the highlands and the west end of Glasgow, this is for google to find this when people are searching for it, it’s my marketing plan and has worked for the past decade.
Take it easy, remember, long lead times and everything’s expensive, it is what it is.
